Curling

A message from the Dunedin Curling Club below is below:

We (Dunedin Curling Club Inc) are planning a try Curling morning for Sunday 11 th May 2008 from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon.

We will have the necessary Curlers on hand to show folk how to curl etc., And it will be the Olympic Style Curling not our Traditional (Crampet) style

There may be some staff who may be interested and you may like to forward this e-mail on to others who may be interested in having a go and also looking at our facilities if they have not already done so. It is free to try!

In addition, we have a number of companies who entered the Corporate Curling last year which has proved very popular and there are some loverly trophy’s that are proudly on display that will be up for grabs again this year.

Any one interested please contact Trevor Lewis otlewis@xtra.co.nz For a team you will require 4 players made up with a lead, second, third and the Skip!. It is a bit like bowls on ice but unlike bowls you do not sit on the side and watch you are required to sweep as and when necessary.

The Dunedin Ice Hockey Association Board of Directors meets on the first Monday of every month at the Dunedin Ice Stadium. If you are interested in being involved with the committee and organising hockey events in Dunedin then please contact the DIHA secretary.
