Southern Womens trials on the September 27th weekend

Southern female ice hockey players are invited to the trial for the 2014-2015 Southern Womens team. The trials will be held on Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th at the Dunedin Ice Stadium.

About the New Zealand Womens Ice Hockey League

The Southern Womens team will be competing in the New Zealand Womens Ice Hockey League (NZWIHL). The NZWIHL is the premier women’s league in New Zealand and will take place over several weekends from late November 2014 to early March 2015.

The Southern team will be competing against teams from Canterbury and Auckland.

Cost for trials, practices and games

Final costs are still being finalised. The cost for the trials will depend on the number of player trialling.

One round will take place in Christchurch and one round take place in Auckland, so they will be travel and accommodation costs.

All trials and training session will be held at the Dunedin Ice Stadium.

• Saturday 6th December: Game 3 V Canterbury, DUNEDIN
• Sunday 7th December: Game 4 V Canterbury, DUNEDIN
• Saturday 31st January 2015: Game 7 V Auckland, DUNEDIN
• Sunday 1st February: Game 8 V Auckland, DUNEDIN
• Saturday 7th February: Game 9 V Canterbury, CHRISTCHURCH
• Sunday 8th February: Game 10 V Canterbury, CHRISTCHURCH

The NZWIHL finals will be held from Friday March 6th to Sunday March 8th at the Dunedin Ice Stadium.
