Natural ice reports

Note: Skating on natural ice is dangerous and you should always take appropriate precautions before venturing on to the ice. If you don’t know what you are doing, then make sure someone with experience is at hand to ensure that the ice is safe to skate on.

Due to the cold conditions in central Otago at the moment, there is a good chance that we will be able to skate on many of the natural ice dams and ponds on the weekend.

For up to date reports on the various skating spots, please visit the Natural Ice reports page for more information.

If you get a chance to test out any of the ice ponds/dams in the area, please send a report Clive Murphie.
